Beginners Guitar Academy
Ages: 9+ (Older Elementary, Middle School, High School, Adults) Participants grouped by ages
Times: Monday – Friday, 9 am – 12 pm or 1-4 pm (see dates below)
Dates: June 13-17, 9 am – 12 pm or 1-4 pm, register by June 7
June 20-24, 1-4 pm, register by June 14
July 18-22, 1-4 pm, register by July 1
July 25 - 29, 9 am – 12 pm, registration extended!
Registration Fee: $15 for new MAEC students only
Tuition: $90 for 1st week, if paid by June 1 $115 for 1st week after June 1

A program presenting basic skills and demystifying terms, symbols and basic theory of music; correct left- and right-hand positions; special exercises to accelerate the learning the guitar; fundamentals of music; getting started with chords; rhythm patterns and strums; successful practice techniques; and much more. Students will need own guitar. Participants can enroll in a second Beginners Guitar Academy to review materials or continue with more advanced instruction.
