    Fundraising Activities

    As a nonprofit community music school, we rely on community giving and support. Tuition alone covers only 70% of annual expenses.  All students are asked to participate in at least one fundraiser of their choice.  Students who have not participated in fundraising during the year will be billed $50 in April.

    MAEC's 20th Anniversary Celebration (November 3, 2017): We are excited to celebrate 20 years as your community music school in Greenville!  We hope you plan to attend and be a part of this grand celebration. Purchase seats for two adults to attend to satisfy your fundraising participation. You can also secure or purchase program book ads to satifsy your fundraising participation. More details are coming soon for this event! Watch your email and look for information in the reception room.

     

    PERFORMATHON & Musical Petting Zoo, April 21, 2018 11am-4pm – a fun-filled day of recitals with proceeds benefitting the scholarship and financial aid program at MAEC.  Performers raise a minimum of $25 to participate.  Fundraising scratch-off cards are available for added fun!  We certainly hope you will excel above minimum participation!

     

    April Fool's Concert: 

     Since April 1, 2018 is also Easter Sunday, we will not have our annual April Fool's Concert for 2018.  Look for this to return in 2019!   What could be better than an evening of musical parody and raising funds for MAEC?  You do not have to be a musician to understand this comedy!  It's fun for the whole family!  Items are needed for Silent Auctions as well.  Purchase at least 5 tickets ($10 each) for your fundraising participation!

     

    Madrigal Dinner, Saturday, January 6, 5pma Renaissance festival with gourmet meal by Chef James Enos-Edu, musical entertainment with our own Lady Lori McLelland and guests and a Renaissance instrumental consort coordinated with Lady Elaine Yontz. Madrigal Dinners are a Renaissance music and dining festive event. Step back in time, enjoy fun and fellowship, all while being entertained with music from the Middle Ages. If you have never attended a Madrigal Dinner, now is the time to try!  Purchase seats for at least five to attend for your fundraising participation! Tickets are $40 which includes the meal and entertainment.  This is an event you will not want to miss!


     

    ECU Football Concession Stand – assist with selling concessions at the MAEC Booth for at least 2 of the 6 home football games.  Sign-up sheets are on the reception desk beginning in August.

     

    Annual Fund - donate a minimum of $50 to MAEC’s Annual Fund by April 30.  As a nonprofit community music school, contributions are tax deductible.

    Other opportunities may be added during the year.  You may elect to participate in these.  Please inquire regarding the level of participation needed.

    Yankee Candle Fundraising: ongoingBe sure to pick up your packet for fundraising opportunities with Yankee Candle and related gift merchandise.  This is an ongoing fundraiser.  You can order merchandise anytime you need AND you can have your friends, neighbors and family order merchandise directly from the website!  Go to: yankeecandlefundraising.com. In the "Start Shopping" box, click on the "Seller Login" button (Sign up to be a seller to order merchandise) and use the Group # 99965827. You can also use a mobile app and invite your phone and social contacts to shop online! Items ordered online will ship directly to the "seller." If you do not want to shop online, you can bring paid orders to the Music Academy. We will order them for you to pick up and deliver to the purchaser.  Each seller can earn points for additional incentive prizes!
