THE MUSIC ACADEMY OF EASTERN CAROLINA (MAEC)
Founded in 1997 as a nonprofit 501(C)(3) community music school, MAEC is an active member in the National Guild for Community Arts Education. We believe an education in the arts is one of the most important and essential experiences a child, youth or adult can enjoy. The Music Academy reaches out to support music education through schools and organizations and brings music into the lives of people with disabilities and medical problems through the music therapy and adaptive music programs.
Music Academy of Eastern Carolina provides education and involvement in music for people of all ages and abilities based on quality instruction in a variety of musical styles fostering lifelong values and an appreciation in the arts. Our caring and professional faculty are commited to providing the highest quality instruction and welcomes students of all levels and visions, young and old, accomplished and beginner. The benefits of studying at the Music Academy of Eastern Carolina far exceed the joy of mastering a specific instrument.
