Congratulations Paris Johnson!
Paris Johnson competed in the Global Stars Network competition on the Cranival Crusie Line Triumph. She was awarded 2nd Place in the Child Runway competition, 1st Place in Child Monologue and 1st Place in Child Talent. At this time, she is invited to participate in many other audition opportunities. Paris is a student of Lori McLelland. The Music Academy congratulates Paris, her family and Lori!

Thank You Stefanie Hobbs and family for your many years of dedicated service to the Music Academy of Eatern Carolina! Stefanie has served as the MAEC Board President this past year, after beginning a long journey with her family and MAEC. Beginning as a parent of two students and culminating in her own music studies, Stefanie and her husband, Fred, have given countless hours of volunteer service and advice to support and advance the mission of the Music Academy. We will miss you as you move to the next journey in life and will cherish always our fun memories together. We wish you all the best and hope you continue your journey in music!

New Faculty - New Programs
John Adamiec is looking forward to providing percussion lessons for students of all abilities! With a background in marching drum and bugle corps and playing for rock bands, he is excited to share his love for percussion with students.
Chris Lavignette offers trombone, bass trombone and piano lessons for students of all abilities!
Music Ensembles, band, choir and strings, began in 2015-2016 with the Jarvis Unit of the Coastal Plains Boys and Girls Club with Brittany Cox, Debbie Davis and Joshua Allen.
Greenville native Sarah Hollis is excited to teach violin students with the Music Academy while she is in the music education degree program with the ECU School of Music. The Music Academy is thrilled to be a part of Sarah's musical journey - as a young student at MAEC and now MAEC faculty!
Brittany Cox is looking forward to offering cello lessons. From Chesapeake, VA, Brittany is a student in the music education degree program of the ECU School of Music and is excited to bring her love of music to students in this community.
Debbie Davis has retired after a successful career teaching band in NC public schools and is looking forward to working with students again in private lessons as well as teaching band ensembles.
Marvin Santos looks forward to sharing his love of music with students at the Music Academy! Originally from Brazil, Marvin has made eastern NC home. He enjoys electric guitar and bass guitar, sharing music in many styles including jazz, blues and pop styles. Come and catch his enthusiam for music!
Emerson Voss teaches piano, music theory, music composition, bass guitar and clarinet lessons.
Welcome Kathryn Holley home to Greenville and to our reception staff! After earning undergraduate and graduate music degrees outside of Greenville, Kathryn is excited to make the transition from a former music academy student to a member of our faculty! We are thrilled she has returned to MAEC.
