♪     Did you play in band during high school?

♪      Always wanted to learn to play a flute, clarinet, trumpet, trombone or another instrument?

♪     It’s never too late to learn!

New Horizons Band is for adult musicians, novice and experienced.  Come learn, relearn and have fun making music.    If you have never played, it’s ok.  New Horizons Band will help you learn from the beginning or help you “relearn.” No auditions are required!  Participants will need their own instrument. The Music Academy has a few instruments available for trial use. We accept instrument donations to help others get involved in music as well!

Music can improve your health - A recent study found that older adults who participate in arts programs have better overall health, boosted immune systems, even fewer doctor visits.

Playing an instrument is great for maintaining finger movement, helping to keep arthritic hands limber and maintaining and improving respiratory functioning.  In addition, social fun is good for everyone!  New Horizons Ensembles play for  a variety of locations and activities in the community, such as senior living centers, senior social clubs, concerts, celebrations and community events.  Please contact the Music Academy if you have an event needing music.

    All abilities are welcome!
